Nintendo US eShop update: Mega Man & Bass, Trine Enchanted Edition demo, more

Nintendo has updated the North American end of the eShop and starting today, those who pre-purchase Splatoon through the service can pre-load the game on Wii U for quick start-up come May 29.

Splatoon Turf War: Download the free demo, jump online and play four-on-four Turf War battles. You can only play during these times in order to accommodate people around the world: Friday, May 8, 8-9 p.m. PT; Saturday, May 9, 4-5 a.m. PT; Saturday, May 9, Noon-1 p.m. PT

High Strangeness – A blended hybrid of 8 and 16-bit games where players take on the role of Boyd, who along with his trusty feline friend travel between two worlds in order to solve a multi-layered mystery.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. “Watt’s Up?” Tournament – See how your Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. squad stacks up online in Nintendo’s Public Tournaments. Top players earn unique titles that are visible online and earn major bragging rights with their friends and around the world. The new “Watt’s Up?” tournament runs from May 8 to May 10.
