Ninja Gaiden 3 will be "spectacular", says Tecmo

Ninja Gaiden 3 will be awesome, brilliant, "spectacular". At least, that seems to be the impression given by Koei-Tecmo managing director Yoshiki Sugiyama.

"Ninja Gaiden is such a beloved and important franchise for us," he said to CVG, "and fans expect such great things from the next installment that we need to indulge in a little nurturing.

"If and when we talk about a new Ninja Gaiden, it will be spectacular."

The last Ninja Gaiden was released nearly two years ago for Xbox 360, with a PS3 release following last year. Soon after the release of Ninja Gaiden II, creator Tomonobu Itagaki famously left the company and sued for unpaid royalties on the game.

The case has since been settled, with Itagaki now running Valhalla Game Studios.
