More StreetPass Mii Plaza uses inbound

Among its plans to reinvogorate the flagging 3DS, Nintendo intends to squeeze more value out of StreetPass Mii Plaza.

Andriasang reports Nintendo president Satoru Iwata promised updates to Mii Plaza by the end of the year during an investor briefing.

Iwata also promised more software during this and the coming year to make use of collected Miis.

Mii Plaza is a hub for several mini-games utilising data collected using the 3DS's StreetPass feature. Players can store up to 300 Miis collected from those their consoles make contact with, and use them as characters in-game.

Nintendo reported dire 3DS sales in its recent financials, and announced a price cut to boost flagging interest.
