Domain drain: Microsoft secures "Xbox 8" rights

As noted by Fusible, Microsoft has won two disputes filed in May with the National Arbitration Forum over a batch of Xbox-related domains, including,,,, and

The Xbox8 domains are leading to speculation that it may be the name of the next Xbox. Microsoft took them back from a China resident named “Cheng Juan”.

Some basic checking shows that Microsoft doesn't own - "Zuo Pan" has it - and that at least three straight Xbox8 domains are still available.

Which kind of suggests there's something not right about this.

If you fancied a go on XboxEight domains, there's tons of them. Well, there's a few less now. We just bought and, just in case.
