Konami to "focus efforts" on Dance Dance Revolution

dancedance

Konami announced during its latest financial results that it intends to concentrate more on its Dance Dance Revolution series.

According to the report, via Siliconera, expect more from the publisher in this music game genre between now and the end of its next fiscal year (March 31, 2011).

"We will focus our efforts on the music game Dance Dance Revolution series – which remains a perennial favorite – and other music games, which is a genre that Konami exhibits particular strength in," read the report.

There's already Def Jam Rapstar in the works, and the "8-panel" Dance Dance Revolution revealed at E3 last year, so we'll shoot the publisher a mail and ask what it meant by "other music games."

Maybe it's another Rock Revolution. Ya never know.

Thanks, Joe.
