Game Expo Scotland 2014: official site open now, first details & ticket prices drop

Game Expo Scotland 2014 organiser Magdala Media has opened the consumer expo's official site, giving gamers and exhibitors a glimpse of what's in store for the inaugural event.

The event takes place October 4-5 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and tickets can be bought here from April. Pre-booked day passes are £10, or £14 on the door, while priority day passes will cost £18 and come with bonus extras. A pre-booked two-day pass will cost £18 or £25 on the door, with the priority version costing £35.

Game Expo Scotland 2014's full event guide can be found here, and will grow as more exhibitors are announced. So far; the event will offer an indie zone that will showcase global independent games, an eSports zone and a Hollywood Zone for all the best triple-a titles around.

There will also be a Cosplay Zone and a timetable of speaker sessions from across the industry.

“Having separate zones, each with a distinct flavour to them, really helps gamers get the most from Games Expo Scotland 2014,” said Magdala Media founder and GES 2014 creator Rowan Mackie. “Where else can gamers in Scotland come and get the best indie games alongside next year’s biggest releases? And each zone has something absolutely perfect for all types of gamers too.”

VG247 are media partners at his event, and as such, we will bring you more updates as they come, as well as coverage from the event in October.

Meanwhile; you can stay up to date with the show on Twitter and Facebook.
