Elder Scrolls Online keys fraudulently obtained will be deactivated as of today

As per an announcement last week, Elder Scrolls Online keys which were fraudulently obtained will be deactivated.

The notice was posted last week and ZeniMax Online is making good on its promise today.

A list posted on the forums by the developer contains trusted sellers the company says players should purchase keys through, or run the risk of having the game key deactivated.

Should a player's account be deactivated, ZeniMax will send an email with instructions on how start playing the game again once a valid key has been purchased.

The Elder Scrolls Online is now without a mandatory monthly sub, but requires the base game be purchased in order to play. The PS4 and Xbox One version release on June 9.
