China game console ban temporarily lifted, report suggests

China's State Council has reportedly lifted its nationwide ban on video game console sales temporarily after 14 years.

Reuters reports that console manufacturers are now free to make consoles in Shanghai's free trade zone, and then sell them throughout China without restriction. The caveat is that any company wishing to do so must first seek approval from the Chinese State Council.
