Biometric controller application filed by Sony

Siliconera has dug up a patent application Sony filed in 2010 containing diagrams and biometric-equipped descriptions of DualShock 3, Move, and a handheld similar to Vita. The description states the controllers could monitor a player's bio-data with various possible uses depicted such as: noting stress levels so as to adjust a game's difficulty level, increased weapon accuracy or even an in-game character piping up to comment on the player's state of mind at the time. The tech is similar Nintendo's Vitality Sensor, announced at E3 2009 and yet to see a release. We'll send a mail. Thanks, Gamespot.
