A BattleTech reboot is headed to Kickstarter this fall

Shadowrun: Hong Kong developer Harebrained Schemes is bringing another game to Kickstarter this fall, and its' a reboot of the turn-based tactical game BattleTech.

The studio is working alongside BattleTech series creator Jordan Weisman. This will be the first game in the series to be released on PC in over 20 years.

While details are being kept under wraps for now, Harebrained said BattleTech will "feature an open-ended Mercenaries-style campaign that blends RPG 'Mech and MechWarrior management with modern turn-based tactics."
