Age of Empires Online, Microsoft Flight join Fable III for MS gamescom PC push

aoeo

Microsoft just announced Age of Empires Online and Microsoft Flight for Games for Windows and part of its gamescom push.

These two are joined in the PC line-up by Lionhead's Fable III, which was announced for the platform back in May.

Age of Empires Online will allow players to "embark on quests along the way, alone or with friends, and immerse yourself in epic tales, quirky characters, adventure, history and strategy."

You'll start off with a Greek civilisation in the game, and it grow into an empire.

It's free-to-play and has multiplayer co-op, as well as a constantly online capital city.

You can get more on the game, the chance to enter a beta and a first look at gameplay here.

Up, up and away

Microsoft Flight, meanwhile, sees a new step from Microsoft in its Flight Simulator series, adding it "will bring a new perspective" to the flying sim genre.

There's a preview here.

Longstanding Flight Simulator studio ACES was closed by Microsoft in early 2009.

Microsoft also announced a UK Kinect release date of November 10 this morning.

We'll get you more details on Microsoft's latest PC reboot at its "Play Day" event here in Cologne later on this afternoon. Watch for live coverage from 12.30pm CET onwards.
