Where can I order an Xbox Series X/S ?
The short answer is: nowhere right now.
As we predicted, the Xbox Series X and S did not go on sale at any time over the course of Black Friday. Offers sold out within minutes, and most retailers aren’t open to pre-orders either. However, Sony have confirmed that there will be more stock by the end of the year, though when and where this stock will appear is still a matter for the rumour mill.
If you can’t wait till 2021, our advice is to keep one ear to the ground, and check back with the retailers. You can see a full list of Series X and S retailers here. One handy way to keep track of the news (plug plug) is to follow the Jelly Deals Twitter account, where we’re posting all the latest Xbox updates.
What Xbox deals did we see during Black Friday 2020?
Console offers were unfortunately quite sparse this year, with the exception of a few decent discounts on the Xbox One S to match the ones we saw on Prime Day. Considering that this is now a last-gen console, the price-cuts were relatively underwhelming.
In terms of accessories, the line-up was a little stronger – particularly a sweeping $20 discount on the brand new Xbox wireless controller, which is compatible with both this generation and the last. We also saw some good bargains on the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at Walmart and Best Buy, though it was Target that took the lead, offering a three month subscription for $20. Even Microsoft got in on the fun, cutting the price of the first month’s subscription to just $1 for newcomers.
Microsoft also cut prices on digital games, including 50% off an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla bundle. A lot of these deals are still running for the next couple days, and we’ve listed the best options above.
All in all, though not terrible by any means, this was a slower year then expected. Fingers crossed we’ll see something more substantial when next November rolls around.
