Sonic the Hedgehog film producer adapting Disco Elysium for TV

Disco Elysium is getting its own TV series.

A series based on Disco Elysium is to be developed via a partnership between the game's developer, ZA/UM, and production company dj2 Entertainment which produced the Sonic the Hedgehog film.

According to Variety, the adaption is still in the early stages as there is no writer attached. A network or streaming service hasn't been announced either as pitching will occur later this year.

The game is rather popular and won three BAFTAs for Debut Game, Music, and Narrative. It also won the DICE Award for Outstanding Achievement in Story, and the GDC 2020 award for Best Narrative and Best Debut.

It also won four awards at The Game Awards 2019 for Best Narrative, Best RPG, Best RPG, and Fresh Indie Game.

You’re a detective with a unique skill system at your disposal and a whole city block to carve your path across. Interrogate unforgettable characters, crack murders, or take bribes. Become a hero or an absolute disaster of a human being.

The game is currently available on PC, and in development for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
