Sony is ringing in the new year by slashing 25 per cent off the price of a PlayStation Plus membership in the US, UK and Europe.

If you’ve taken advantage of a cheap PS Plus offer over the last few years then these prices may be a bit of a disappointment. However, this is the new reality we must come to accept now that the regular cost of a year-long subscription has been bumped up.

Still, if you’re looking to save a few pennies on your membership or your renewal date is approaching then you can’t do much better than this right now.

Sign up now and you’ll just be able to snag the pair of free PS Plus games for December – that’s the utterly uninteresting Monster Energy Supercross and utterly fantastic Titanfall 2.

Then, on 7th January, next month’s games become available. The two you’ll be getting are the action blockbuster Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection and ridiculous Goat Simulator.

Remember, you can always keep up to date with the best price for PS Plus over at Jelly Deals. You’ll also be able to find our top picks for the best PS4 external hard drive and (if you’re after more from Naughty Dog after playing Uncharted) where you can pre-order The Last of Us Part 2 for the best price.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. Read our policy.
