Whenever I play shooters, the first thing I do when I’m dropped in an NPC situation is see what happens if I point a gun at my allies. Would I do this in real life? Heck no. But in a game environment, I want to understand the rules of the world. How much can I do in a game, and how will the game react to those actions?
Thanks to a user on Reddit, I won’t need to experiment when I play Cyberpunk 2077; you can attack most people in the game, except for children and story-important NPCs.
Reddit user Masoncool4566 asked CD Projekt Red about violence in the game, and PC Gamer verified the studio’s response later in an email. According to the outlet, there will also be areas where “aggressive behavior comes with additional consequences.” If you get rowdy in gang- or police-controlled territory, be ready for a fight. (You can avoid this entirely and stealth your way through the game without killing anyone if you’re a good boy like me.)
We’re learning more and more about the anticipated title the closer we get to launch, like the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 will get multiple large expansions like The Witcher 3 did. Or that the game has three different playable prologues depending on your starting choice. Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
