Bethesda E3: The Elder Scrolls 6, Starfield, Doom Eternal, The Elder Scrolls: Blades, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Fallout 76

Holy s**t, Bethesda just nuked E3.

Bethesda's E3 showcase kicked off today and boy, did it rock.

Updates: Pete Hines took to the stage to talk about Bethesda, with the theme of the show focusing on creativity, as well joking about recent leaks via Walmart Canada. And then Andrew WK came on to rock out. Why the f**k not, hey?

Once the cheesey sweaty dude had finished we got a proper look at Rage 2. Showing pre-alpha gameplay footage, we saw main character Walker doing a whole lot of killing, shooting and throwing that lethal boomerang thing and picking up a new ability. Rage 2 is out in Spring 2019.

Bethesda also dropped a bomb during the show: Doom Eternal. The first teaser featured the iconic shotgun and a brief look at some of the familiar enemies - it looks rad as balls. It's a sequel to Doom, with double the amount of enemies and a whole bunch of new stuff - unfortunately you're going to have to wait until QuakeCon in August to see more.

You more exciting stuff? Wolfenstein Youngblood will focus on BJ Blazkowicz' two twin daughters. It's set in 1980s Paris, and is a co-op game (but also singleplayer). It's out in 2019. Check out the first trailer here.

Todd Howard came on stage to close the show and drop big news about Fallout 76. It's entirely online, although you can play solo, but it's an open world survival game. You'll only be online with "dozens" of other players, not thousands, and death doesn't mean you'll lose any progress. Howard said you can play with your friends and build bases using the CATS system, which can then be moved around the map.

New technology means it will serve up 16 times the detail of Fallout 4. It will feature 6 different regions, and a whole stack of new creatures based on West Virginian folklore. Fallout 76 will also feature multiple nuclear missile sites on the map which you'll be able to target on other players - provided you can find all parts of the nuclear launch code.

Fallout 76 will have a beta as well as a special edition that features a glow in the dark map as well as a WEARABLE POWER ARMOUR HELMET. I s**t you negative.

Fallout 76 will be out November 17.

Howard wasn't done though. Because he also revealed The Elder Scrolls: Blades, a full and free RPG for iPhone and Android. It features a town-building mode, as well as multiplayer. More importantly, Howard said he wants to take The Elder Scrolls: Blades to all platforms eventually, with cross-platform support.

If that wasn't enough, he then went and dropped the biggest bombs of the show so far. Bethesda is working on games for the next generation - Starfield, a new space-themed franchise and yes, The Elder Scrolls 6. We saw the tiniest of teases, but holy s**t.

Oh yeah, Fallout Shelter is out on PS4 and Switch. Now. Go download, they're both free.

Original story: We're expecting to see an in depth look at Rage 2 and Fallout 76, both recently revealed by Bethesda. Todd Howard was on stage at the Microsoft conference earlier, so we know he's in town and likely to talk us through a lot of Fallout 76's features, including sharing more on why they've chosen to create a prequel to the series.

We're likely to see some Prey DLC and a little of Wolfenstein for Switch, and no doubt more of The Elder Scrolls Online. But surely there's surprise in the show somewhere with some speculation that we might get the first peak at Doom 2.

Eitherway, after the excitement of the Xbox showcase we're enjoying the current E3 fever and have high hopes for another cool showing from Bethesda.

Watch the skies, kids. This is going to be a good one.
