Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 merchandise shows up in GameStop's database - rumor

Here's another possible Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 leak for you.

It appears this year's Call of Duty could indeed be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, if the latest leak is any indication.

An image of what appears to be GameStop's database was sent to CharlieIntel, showing Black Ops 4 merchandise in the system.

Looking through the list in the images, you will see the usual items such as t-shirts, lanyards, and promotional items.

While it looks legitimate, as always, consider anything that isn't an official confirmation from Activision a rumor.

In February, industry insider Marcus Sellars said Black Ops 4 is this year's Call of Duty game, and will be released for Nintendo Switch. It's said the port will be handled by "a company which is familiar with COD games."

Sellars described it as a modern, boots on the ground shooter.

During Activision Blizzard's Q4 call to investors, Activision's Eric Hirshberg confirmed Treyarch was developing this year's Call of Duty, and wished he could talk more about it. After the call, Treyarch tweeted it was "looking forward to the year ahead," and "couldn't wait to share more."

Treyarch's last entry in the series was Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in 2015, which received a new multiplayer mode and map earlier this week.
