Minecraft: Switch Edition is in development for the new system

Minecraft will make its way onto the Nintendo Switch system.
As with other versions of the juggernaut, players will be able to create their own game world on the Nintendo Switch console.
There isn't too much available for this particular version of Minecraft at present, just that it is in development.
Other information not provided by Nintendo or developer 4J Studios includes whether you can play online with friends or not.
A release date for Minecraft: Switch Edition wasn't announced.
