Kaos releases first developer diary for Homefront

homefront

Kaos Studios has put out the first in a series of developer diaries for Homefront, and we've got the debut posted below for you.

In it, the developers talk about the game's premise, how it feels to be fighting for your country, and giving the "last full measure for something you believe in".

According to Kaos, in a lot of other shooters, you start a level in a slum or some other place like that before killing a hundred or so people, and when you are finished you jump into a helicopter and fly away.

"At the end of our levels, there are no helicopters," said designer Zach Wilson. "You have to stay and live with the thing you did."

Heavy.

There's also some bits of artwork thrown in the diary for good measure, along with some gameplay.

For more on Homefront, check out Keza's interview with Kaos' Rex Dickson and find out what she thought of the game when she got some hands-on time with it.

Homefront is out March 8 in the US and March 11 in Europe and the UK
