Criterion Games has revealed through Twitter that it’s no longer going to release DLC for Burnout Paradise.

Criterion’s posted details of Burnout Paradise DLC that never made the cut, including driving on the moon, helicopters, time travel and planes.
The fact this is being posted probably means the developer’s “year of Burnout” was well-named: and over.

TGS 09: Microsoft demos Natal for Japanese news station

Microsoft packed Natal up and brought it to TGS 09 to show it off.
Past the break, there is a video of Microsoft director Kudo Tsunoda demoing Ricochet and Burnout Paradise for a local news show.
GameSetWatch, who posted the video, says for you to make sure to at least watch the bit at 03:35 when “Tsunoda slowly claps with the Japanese host, cheering, ‘Yes, very good for you. I’m so happy,’ before turning to flash a cheesy smile and give a thumbs up.”
How could you NOT watch knowing that?

Cnet‘s put live a video of a recent visit to Microsoft to go hands-on – or whatever – with Project Natal and it’s all after the jump.

Suda51 has played Burnout Paradise for over 700 hours

Criterion’s Alex Ward just tweeted that Grasshopper legend Suda51 is a Burnout Paradise mentalist.
“Suda51 came here for the day a few weeks ago,” said the dev boss.
“He’s a hardcore Burnout fan. I checked the servers – over 700hrs play.”
That’s a lot of hours. Just goes to show.

Trophies listed for Burnout Paradise’s premium DLC Big Surf Island

Criterion’s Burnout Paradise premium DLC Big Surf Island will not only have 15 events and 10 online freeburn challenges but 45 Billboards hidden on the island and, of course, Trophies.
One achievement of note involves getting 4.5 seconds of air time in a single jump.

Criterion “would be a great team to work with” on Need for Speed

Need for Speed: Shift producer Jesse Abney would like to work with Criterion on Need for Speed projects.
“You know, Criterion’s got a great heritage in racing games, and I think they would be a great team to work with on that stuff, certainly from a personal opinion,” he said, talking in London last week.
“There’s always question about how does Burnout exist, and vice versa. We’ll be hoping for the best in the future.”
Criterion, as you’re all well aware, has been beavering away on Burnout Paradise DLC for the past year. Future projects are unannounced.

Criterion has revealed that the Cops and Robbers pack for Burnout Paradise is set to land April 30.
The latest paid content for Burnout Paradise is rumored to compliment Marked Man, Road Rage and Stunt Run.
