As promised, 3D Realms and Devolver Digital have delivered an upgraded version of Shadow Warrior Classic. Unlike the free version, Shadow Warrior Classic Redux includes remastered visuals and sound and two expansion packs. It’s $10 on Steam, but currently 15% off as a launch promotion, and supports SteamPlay on Mac and PC. A reboot of Shadow Warrior is on the way from Hard Reset developer Flying Wild Hog.

3D Realms has filed a suit against Gearbox Software over unpaid Duke Nukem Forever royalties. The breach of contract suit was filed in Texas on Friday, June 7 with the claim that Gearbox didn’t pay out all the monies stipulated in the purchase agreement between the two companies signed back in 2010.

The latest free-to-play game to arrive on Steam isn’t the latest and greatst MMO but the 1997 shooter classic Shadow Warrior. Publisher Devolver Digital has made the game free for both Mac and PC, presumably to promote the recently-announced remake. The fondly-remembered Shadow Warrior was developed by 3D Realms and is a little unusual in that it mixes martial arts themes with straight-forward blasting.

Shadow Warrior has been given the trailer and screen treatment, courtesy of Hard Reset studio Flying Wild Hog. It’s a re-imagining 3D Realm’s original 1997 game, and it’s heading to next-gen formats and PC.

Oh dear. After 14 years, Duke Nukem Forever launches today in the UK via 2K and Gearbox. The verdict? It seems to be mixed right now at the minute. So far, only a few reviews have gotten out right now, but you can get them below. If you have any links to add, do so below and we’ll add them in.

2K Australia has confirmed that the Australian release of Duke Nukem Forever, recently awarded an MA 15+ rating by the Classifications Board, has not been edited in any way.
