The problems appear to affect matchmaking, where players would wait in lobbies hoping to get matched with other players for hours, to no avail.

There is a huge thread on the Halo forums chronicling the problem. Many players are reporting the same problems on Reddit as well.

Microsoft has acknowledged the problems and said that the team is working to correct them.
