The PS4 release of The Last of Us: Remastered requires at least 50GB of HDD space.

That’s according to the back of the packaging, as photos of the game appear online after the game leaked early.

Some lucky players have got hold of the game early, but live streaming on Twitch for at least one player has been shut down. There are also a handful of PS3 and PS4 comparison screens knocking about through this link too.

The Last of Us: Remastered is due for release July 30th.

yes ok it is huge indeed and it takes space indeed.
But guys, are you going to complain about space taking on hard drive.
I mean they can dumb down the game in many forms and aspects to save space, one of which the story could become Bill fighting a giant ape throwing barrels down a skycrapper and effectively the game will be no more than 600 megs if that!
Is that what you guys want or shall you enjoy a remaster in HD whether it takes space or not?!?!?

Consoles are becoming more and more like PCs.
A few generations from now, people will start to wonder where the distinction is between a PC and a console, considering a console gets more and more features but that also brings the hassle PC gamers have.

    Installing updates.
    Crashes.
Having to manage your disk usage.

You don’t have any of those issues in the PS1 and PS2 era. Now it’s become common.
There will be a time where PC and console gaming converges.

I can easily accept new console installs taking up much more HD space than previous gen consoles. I only with they’d include a much larger size HD to begin with than 500GB.

I think the HDD is a cost thing with the consoles. I would much rather have 500GB HDD that I can upgrade easily than a 5TB HDD on a PS4 that came with 4GB RAM you cant upgrade in order for them to keep the console cost low. Apparently the profit they make on each console isn’t that much so its understandable imho

No it won’t. Console games are optimized for console. You don’t have to upgrade anything to run a game to spec. PC on the other hand?

    +1 flamebait

People just bitch about the smallest things. Also its quite easy and easily affordable to buy a HD to put 2 TB for less than a 100$ for you digital hoarder that are afford of deleting games from your hard drive.

I don’t do that. I just delete the games I am not playing because it takes only a minute or two to install the damn thing. something not even the PC has yet to grab except a handful of titles and are typically MMos.

No need to upgrade anything on PC either, sorry. You just start the AMD/nVidia application and let it optimize game settings for your system, then you just start it and enjoy the experience.

Well, if your PC is too it can’t be helped. Just like your PS2 won’t run TLoU Remastered,.
