Diablo 3 Xbox One displays at 900p, both new-gen versions run at 60fps

Those worried over frame-rate issues pertaining to the console version of Diablo 3: The Ultimate Evil Edition, need not worry: 60fps is “paramount” to Blizzard.

According to Blizzard senior producer Julia Humphreys, on Xbox One the game will run at 900p. The game is said to run 1080p on PS4 per Joystiq.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition will be released August 19 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

BONUS FEATURE: If you use the Shadow of the Colossus-themed armour, the frame-rate will drop to 15fps.

    Dat authenticity.

Wait they couldn’t get friggin Diablo to run at 1080p @60fps?
    That console generation is doomed.

@Joe That made me laugh harder than it should have.

I’m a little speechless that they couldn’t get Diablo, which doesn’t exactly require that much horsepower to run at 1080p / 60fps on xbox one. They probably haven’t tried using the new sdk that let’s them use the extra power the kinect usually uses and knowing how lazy blizzard are they prob won’t bother trying.

There is nothing to say that thee new SDK is even out nor do they need to change the build so it fits with the changes which may actually break the game.

I’m hoping the Ultimate Evil Edition fixes the screen tearing while also opening up the claustrophobic camera of the last-gen versions.

    Blizzard make it 911p :D
Got tired of those kind news, resolution here, content exclusive there, 1 h of exclusive content, dlc 1st on that platform, 9 different editions of that game. i wish if they have extra money to spend it on making decent exclusive.
    Welcome to next-gen of gaming.

I believe there is no time to take the benefits of June SDK update.

This game comes out in two months. Did anyone honestly think they’d take a new Xbox One SKU on the eve of gold master and intense QA testing just to appease the 20+ fanboys on forums?

I’m still buying the Xbox1 version. So it doesn’t matter. .

Don’t own either, so I’m not a fanboy, but really? Xbone can’t do 1080 with this game??

I wonder if its a kick from Blizzard, who have not been impressed with the whole windows game store thing that MS wants to enforce. Hard to believe otherwise that the XB1 is this underpowered…

With or without SDK…this is more a confession of incompetence (or laziness) from Blizzard…
As if Diablo 3 is technically outstanding in any way… -_-’

    Yeah, laziness from Blizzard…

People like you make me laugh so hard.

There is/has and always will be a pattern here, if you haven’t already picked up on the pattern the Xbox has been making for itself you have no hope or you are in serious denial.

Sorry, but Diablo 3 can’t graphically compete aganist MANY last gen titles, so what’s the explanation for the lower resolution?
There is none exept laziness or incompetence!
This is not even worth a discussion…it’s simply ridiculous!!!

    Lacking creativity? maybe so.

But to say they don’t work hard is a pile of shit.
They released an MMO in 2004 and have built up and maintained that world ever since with tons of expansion packs, endless patches etc etc all while working on other games like Starcraft 2, Heroes Of the Storm, Titan and Diablo 3.

And I actually haven’t even played World of Warcraft either, but I still know hard work and commitment when I see it.

Also, look at all these “lazy devs”
