Star Wars title from Visceral to be co-penned by Uncharted’s Todd Stashwick

The Star Wars title from Visceral Games will be co-wrote by Todd Stashwick, according to a Tweet from Amy Hennig.

Stashwick, who is featured in the next Uncharted game from Naughty Dog, is also an actor outside of video games and stated on Twitter that as “devout gaming and Star Wars geeks,” he and Hennig plan to write “a game we want to play… we will be our harshest critics.”

It was announced earlier this month Amy Hennig had joined Visceral Games to work as creative director on the new Star Wars title after her departure from Naughty Dog in early March.

Visceral’s Star Wars title is rumored to be an open-world title for next-gen systems.

Thanks, Gamespot.

Visceral Games are getting talent for their Star Wars game, this will be one watch.

However EA will inevitably do something most will dislike.

Yep, EA is still the biggest problem here. As a rule, I don’t pre-order EA games. I wait for a lot of reviews to come up, mostly from independent reviewers like AngryJoe etc. I have to watch a lot of early gameplay videos. I usually have a go at a pirated copy for PC, or play it at a friends house, who might have already bought the game. I refuse to be duped again after DA2, and I don’t like EA’s business practice in general. Still, they have enough talent to maybe make a Star Wars game worthy of KOTOR (it doesn’t have to be an RPG), so I’ll keep an eye on this one. Here’s hoping it’ll be a cross between the first Soul Reaver (open world, great story) and the SW license, with all the possibilities current gen consoles provide,
