Pokemon X & Y gets mandatory 1.2 update, Rating Battles reactivated

Pokemon X & Y has received a mandatory 1.2 update that is necessary for online play. Sources suggest that the patch nukes an exploit that let players view their opponent’s team before starting a match.

Serebii reports that the update requires 236 blocks on your console and will reactivate Rating Battles after Game Freak took them offline once the breach was discovered.

You’ll find the update on Nintendo’s eShop now.

I just stop playing pokemon y. The same type of competition isn’t there for me. All my friends that have it never have the time to actually play and neither do I. After beating the game and training about 25 ev trained pokemon I have grown a bit bored.

That and after I trained 2 fully ev trained pokemon. I tried to stop the evolution on one and it didn’t work so I restarted only to find out I hadn’t saved long before I started training those 2. I don’t feel like starting again either

same here. completely lost interest and don’t think i’ll pick it up again anytime soon.
played for 30 hours. for the most part it was fun but the game had some flaws and pacing issues. didn’t fully grab me.

put about 200hrs into it.(Effort Training takes But, still I got to a point where I realized I wasn’t playing anyone and I was making these omega pokemon for pretty much nothing. I won’t compete in pokemon. Most of my friends are waiting for Poke bank so they can cheat with nearly perfect IV and Effort trained pokemon from Black and White.

And then theres just the repeat of train level up train level up. I got the game for free practically but, my initial comeback intentions have just left me with a nostalgia trip that I think I could have done without.
