Watch Dogs has been one of the most anticipated titles since it was announced during E3 2012. During the developer session at the Eurogamer Expo, Ubisoft Montreal discussed the latest on what’s set to be one of the biggest games of the holiday season.

Watch Dogs hits PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on November 19 in the States, and November 22 across Europe. It will also be made available as a launch title on PS4 and Xbox One.

Interesting but the guy sounds like he is either going to cry or geek out. Get someone that can talk to a crowd that doesnt seem like they going to piss their pants

Yeah…..well..no…not at all actually and i already know that for sure. First of all both are sandbox games, but that is kinda where the comparisons stop already. You will be doing very different things in WD, like hacking things. I predict that that feature will become a gimmick quite fast, like the many things in Ubi’s AC games. I bet there will be several side activities to do, but just like AC they are boring as hell and a chore. Hell it already looks a lot like a modern AC.

Even graphically i find it very disappointing compared to last year at E3. And compared to GTA V…GTA V actually has a few graphical things that are better than WD. I can know cause i saw it on PS4 at GC and the most recent gameplay video showed that there wasn’t much of an improvement there.

In terms of detail to the city, pedestrians and their reactions and how lifelike they are. The physics and animations, the combat system and so on…clearly are much better in GTA V. Rockstar has always been ahead of other games when it comes to that. In GTA V the characters actually walk up a staircase realistically, in WD? Nope. I can go on, but sorry…..it will make it look like child’s play? Care to elaborate? cause i just did and i can go on. :) GTA V is in many aspects way ahead of other games once again, once again this developer outdid themselves and i truly don’t see WD topping that. Actually…i know for sure it won’t.

Are you serious!? Sure I respect your opinion but really your going to sit there and say that GTA V has better graphics, animations, physics, and AI than WD’s? Even from the trailers and gameplay videos we have seen of WD in terms of detail it blows GTAV out of the water. Everything from physics, explosions, gun fights, animation, dynamic lighting, textures, and AI is far better than in GTA V. Most the time in GTA V the pedestrians just walk around, hail a cab or two, start talking on their phones etc. In WD they put their umbrellas up or down depending on the weather, buy food, eat it and put the rubbish in the bin, talk on their phones, read newspapers, use their laptops, hail a cab, the list goes on and on. Not to mention the possible gameplay elements of this game. Take for instance a gun fight in GTA V, your in a gun fight what can you do that is different? Change from one character to the next? Which for the most part is pretty pointless unless your using one of their abilities which honestly I have only used about four times and I have an 85% completion on the game so far. In WD you have multiple ways to escape, hack trains lines, camera to get a better vantage point or view where the enemies are, it just all feels more natural and more dynamic than in GTA V.

It blows my mind to think that people actually think GTA V is graphically good… with its sinking frame rates, poor textures, horrid jaggies, lovely blur effect to mask the hideousness, texture popping and some pretty basic bugs that were missed out of testing. Honestly I much prefer Vice City to GTA V. Hands down VC was and still is the best GTA game ever made.

But then again its only my opinion, I shall enjoy WD on my PC thank you.

Don’t go fooling yourself with good marketing on Ubi’s end. You may have seen sharp visual presentation, but other than that, Ubi’s taken everyone through the same motions. Hell, there’s been one main GTA V gameplay video and we learned more about the game in those few minutes than can be discerned from a 10:00 Watchdogs commentary. Whether this has to do with the extent of content the game actually has to show or what Ubi’s got in store for the final title remains to be seen. I’m under the impression that although the game may be refined and smooth, it will be pretty bare bones as many of these new ip games tend to be. What’s more concerning is that the hacking ability, which is the main aspect behind the game, is essentially a push to win button sort of mechanic. Because let’s be honest. When it comes down to it, this game will boil down to sneaking in, wasting a few thugs, and using hacks to escape the police.

Uhm no, Watch Dogs won’t be half the game GTAV is (graphics don’t make a game better), and Vice City was NOT any better than GTAV. That’s just a fact. Disagree all you want, but anyone who says different has their nostalgia goggles on.

I didn’t say the graphics are better than WD in every single way, i said in some ways. Take character shadows for example, look at them in GTA V. I was surprised to see that those weren’t grainy and pixellated, look at that in latest WD footage. Yes i am quite impressed with GTA V’s graphics, yes it suffers from aliasing but man that lighting. Those detailed character models and car models, the detail in the city and pretty much every street looking different. For hardware this old, it is a damn achievement what they have here with GTA V. Will we get that in WD? I highly doubt that. From what i’ve seen so far of WD….no. From 2012 to how it looks now is a big downgrade anyway, but of course Ubi denies that.

We really have not seen a whole lot of the physics and Euphoria has been awesome since GTA IV and improved immensely. Like i said…i saw WD on PS4 at GC and the guy playing shot a pedestrian and in no way did it look as realistic as GTA V, in no way. You talk about WD as if it has been out for a while now. Far better A.I.? Lol…really? All we’ve seen is Aiden running after a guy that decides to flee, all else was Aiden sneaking up on people. We’ve seen so very little that this stuff can’t even be properly judged yet. Pedestrians have a umbrella when it rains? That’s amazing……that was in GTA IV already. :)

And please don’t get me started on hacking. I am willing to bet money on it that this feature will become boring sooner than you think. I truly don’t get the hype about this one. Looked very promising last year at E3, but the more i see of it…the less interested i get. And what nice_shot said!
