Destiny has a live-action, CG trailer available and you can watch it below.

As a Guardian of the City, players will need to reclaim the Solar System, thus The Law of the Jungle.

The clip was directed by Swingers actor and Iron Man director Jon Favreau, according to Variety.

Destiny will release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

More on the game will be revealed at E3 in June during Sony’s press conference.

People still read paper books far in the future?

    #2 2 years ago

Hmm… I’m interested to see if they’ve actually got something innovative here, or if it’s just going to turn out to be an MMOFPS with a bunch of uncoordinated groups of kids space hopping around looking for something to shoot before they get bored and don’t play it again.

Bungie’s live action stuff is always pretty sweet. Despite the Halo franchise going down a level over recent years, Destiny is exactly what I’ve been hoping for a long time now. Cannot wait.

Not a half bad Morgan Freeman impression there…

Oh I see how this is going down. MS has COD and Sony Have Poached former First Party Halo developers New IP: Destiny.

  7. Bill_E_Talent

^I think Respawns new IP is more likely matched against Destiny versus COD.

    Oh you sod…

You’ve just made me realise how many kids are going to be dicking around on console MMORPG’s… :(

It’s going to be constant annoying brats everywhere with super crazy weapons and gear because they have Infinate time to ‘grind’…

  14. Oh no its Colt

I wonder if “The One” will have exclusive content too… Maybe a Master Chief-inspired suit?

Also, it seems Star Wars influenced them a little, with the speeder-bikes.

I would have respect for Bungie if they didn’t said that awful thing that shooters are best to played on controller.

  16. Gekidami

They’ve got a deal with Sony, so that isnt very likely.

2 gigantic console manufacturers fighting for overrated shooters exclusive deal. One is military arcade POS, the other one is a cheap arcade MMOFPS and in the end Kotick wins.

    Anyway, trailer was good.

It’s likely going to be another industry changing videogame, would be silly to expect anything less from Bungie.

Mind boggling how you can pretty much skip the comments since it’s the same recycled 2009 psychotic mess.

    @#19: “cheap arcade MMOFPS”

Se for me, that sounds like a fun, plausible vision of next gen.

    #21 2 years ago

Hey, I just want to shoot stuff.

Whoever can provide me with a game where I can shoot the most stuff wins my money.

  23. polygem

@13: nahh all the kids will be exclusively banned to an ikea ballpit planet. bungie confirmed that deal already.

That’s because you guys ‘re stupid casuals, true gaming is about reality, hardcore and passion for carpal tunnel.

They better be! :) Also, on another note, I saved a little baby today, stuck in a shopping trolley..! True story, I have earned my good deed badge! ;)

@21, MMOFPS? It’s not something new. Back in the day games like Planetside 1 was awesome MMOFPS game where you can’t end the match. Planetside 2 is ok as a MMOFPS. Firefall is good looking MMOFPS.

If Bungie makes mmofps it must do something beyond shooting. Maybe strong rpg elements? Who knows.

  28. polygem

…but no trophy unlocked. shame. the guy who invents the real life trophies will become the richest guy in the universe.

@2 Isn’t it unwritten rule that Epic Books, with high importance in said scifi, are always hardcover books on paper?

    #29 2 years ago
  30. polygem

it will have strong rpg elements and it will be faction based. it will be huge, will have an interesting backstory, will be a lot of fun and it will shake up videogaming as we know it.

While I am not much interested in the game, I have to say, Activision are geniuses (money making wise), not matter what anyone says. They give COD to MS and give Bungies Destiny to Sony. So no matter who wins, Acti surely will.

    #34 2 years ago
  35. Erthazus

@34, just like they gived exclusive content to MS with Call of booty

    #35 2 years ago
  36. Da Man

Activision produce videogames instead of smoke and mirrors tech demos or boring mindfakery.

They don’t produce software for mature hardcore artists living off parents’ money.

“mature hardcore artists living off parents’ money.” -made me laugh. Out loud.
