Three guys robbing a bank,a car and a helicopter chase, some explosions and occasional nudity…I hope I’m not asking for too much.

I truly believe this GTA will set a new standard for GTA games and games in general. The three protagonists and switching is gonna be something very unique indeed, if we are to believe the previews. It surely will bring a much needed change to the game and for that i applaud Rockstar. It’s truly a daring move and takes balls to do that to your beloved franchise. They could have ‘shitted out’ a GTA: SA in HD with some improved features and everybody would’ve bought and loved it. But nope, they actually want to surpass their other games and aim really higher. I respect it.

Its IGN speaking about there impressions on the gameplay they saw at Rockstar HQ, its very VERY exciting what they were saying in this video.

Its funny coz there trying mot to sound excited when clearly they so are! Is fun to watch. “yea I went to see GTA5 *straight face as he nods*”

Yeah man it sounds fucking exciting. I honestly would have been good with a GTA:SA in HD with improved shooting, combat and driving mechanics but they really are taking it up another level. It’s something that not every GTA fan is happy about at the moment, because they are so used to having one protagonist. But the way i see it, triple the fun and triple replay value. We get three characters, all very different in their style, they got their own friends, sidemissions. NPC’s will react differently to the characters, it’s gonna be awesome.

For me this game is going to mean social life = over. Cause with Rockstar’s games i love to just go exploring around. I spent hours and hours exploring and messing around in GTA IV before starting any missions, i can;t imagine how much i’m gonna be messing around in V.
There’s a good chance i’m going to be invited at Take Two in Holland sometime in 2013 to come check out the game (we have our own site and all, we played Max Payne 3 last april) but honestly..if it’s only a month before the official release, i’m probably not gonna go. I want to keep the surprise for myself, for on my own tv and everything.

I’m really excited too. Knowing that they are fleshing out the heist missions is amazing news. They weren’t perfect in past games but they were a lot of fun.

And there’s a lot of potential in multiple playable characters. I always loved playing the vigilante missions but it’s stupid that catching criminals could get the cops after you. As such, I always wanted to play a cop character in a GTA game but that would go against the whole idea of playing a criminal (unless they made a story about a corrupt cop or something). With more than one playable character, a story that has both a cop and a criminal lead characters would be possible and I think it would be cool to play both sides of the law. Imagining it now…the characters would eventually confront one another and the player would ultimately decide which one wins…sounds like an interesting concept to me.

Well, no matter how well that mechanic works I think this will indeed be a great game and much better than its predecessor. Just hope this trailer isn’t disappointing. There’s so much to show that unless it lasts for at least four minutes, it just won’t feel staisfying.

I don’t think the trailer will be that long. Look at the previous GTA IV trailers and for it’s DLCs, they were never really long. I bet the new trailer will contain some cutscene parts, like Michael bickering with his wife and the other characters. I bet we’ll see the countryside, hopefully for the first time we’ll see the wildlife that has been confirmed by previews. It’s no doubt gonna be great.

Try LA Noire dude or even Sleeping dogs.

@10
I played LA Noire, didn’t like it. Sleeping Dogs looks interesting but I would really like to see a GTA take on it. Also, if I’m not mistaken, you only play as one character on Sleeping Dogs and like I said, having two characters, one a cop the other a criminal, who constantly confront each other in an epic cat and mouse story…I don’t know why but just thinking about it makes me feel as giddy as a little school girl.

Almost only one day away. Woot!

underwater vechiles, submarines or some wich doesnt req a crew to drive eigther way that would be awesome. and also give us the ability to drive cruise ships or at least a destroyer… maby a hangar ship whit planes on? paragliders, be able to take airplain and walk around in the airplane while its in the air.. then parachutes would be much funner if you can walk around in the plane and jump.

@15 I think they used the Korean development team from the game Archeage, interesting on the details of the ocean..There is a contract with XL GAMES last year I dont know what the main reason behind this contract be afraid to make sure 100% that the main reason behind the details of the ocean is a team developing this !

Don’t be surprised ..
This is how GTA 5 underwater look like ^_^ !

that engine. I mean it looks good, but it’s GTA IV basically in SA. Rockstar delivers quality, but because of hardware Rockstar can’t do shit with improvements.

We need to change this generation fast. If this would be in the next gen that would be incredible.

Plastic last gen faces… stupid PS3 and 360.

Sorry Erthazus, but you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. It’s basically GTA IV in SA? Far from it, i suggest you go watch some gameplay movies of GTA IV or actually play it, you will see how wrong you are. This is a huge improvement, HUGE. RDR already was, MP3 was too and this even more. This looks like the debut trailer of GTAV or even better and i remember people saying that wouldn’t be possible on consoles. But it is. How the fuck can you NOT be impressed?

Seriously…i might post some real good differences later this evening. Can’t believe i actually have to do that.

You know is not possible to squeeze more great good loking graphics out of old consoles, resident evil 4 on gamecube, god of war 2 on ps2, halo 4 on 360, the last of us on ps3, mario galaxy 2 on wii etc, show that it is imposible to squeeze more power out of an old tech, it cannot be done guys NEVER, EVER.

@40, Hey, I played GTA IV on the PC and GTA IV on consoles looks like shit already compared to PC version. That is a fact.

So you are trying to tell me about “It’s not like GTA IV”? Oh yeah.

#43

Moonwalker1982
14/11/12, 5:57 pm

The differences between GTA IV and RDR was already big and this looks to be even better. And thats goddamn impressive, considering the scope and detail of GTA V. People should be more than happy with this, i know i am.

Even on PC dude, this game clearly has so much more detail and overall graphics quality looks so much better. Really dude, go play it again. It has improved greatly. I don’t have time now, but i will post some real good comparisons later.

#44 The outcaswolf neither one of them, i was being sarcastic about it, of course it can be done and those games are the indication of that, as developers with the incrised expertise given for years of working on this techs, know how to do things more efficient and with better results with lesser efforts.

Software technology is every bit as important as hardware technology. While the hardware is fixed, the software most definitely is not.

Love it. Awesome, just awesome. Graphically I’m definitely impressed, seeing stills is one thing but if it looks like that moving… on my 360… I’ll be more than happy, fuck I’d be happy if it just looked like IV… as long as its still that R* blend of awesomeness, dark humor, and fun gameplay I’ll be very very happy.
