Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will offer 55 levels and 10 Prestige, but now it’s not just your soldier who can re-spec, now your guns will be able to Prestige too. Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar has taken to Twitter to explain the benefits.
In Black Ops 2, weapon XP does not reset whenever a player Prestiges, so the site’s source followed up by asking, “if weapon XP converts to next prestige, will you have to prestige your weapon or will it go back down to 0 or stay at max?”
Vonderhaar replied, ”Stays where it was. Weapon level and weapon prestige level totally independent of your level. Not reset by level prestige.”
