Yakuza 5 gets Japanese release date, two new trailers
Yakuza 5 has better turn up in the west or my adoration of these two new, release date-celebrating trailers will be wasted.

Gematsu reports Sega has locked the gangster adventure down for a December 6 launch. the PlayStation 3 exclusive is said to be the biggest the series has produced so far by a significant amount, spreading to multiple cities; it’s a good thing Japanese pre-orders come with five maps, then.
It also has dance battles.
Here are some trailers which will make little sense to most of us. Sega is reasonably likely to bring Yakuza 5 west, but probably not for several months at least.

I suspect it will release (as usual) in March next year.

I care about the western release. I really hope Yakuza 1+2 HD could also be released for western people.

@1 I hope you’re right, I sure do, cause I am so hyped for this! Totally loved Yakuza 4, and I am glad Akiyama-san will be back! I just don’t recall western releases to have been only a couple of months after japanese ones.. Sure hope so, though!

I could be wrong but didn’t SEGA fire the whole localization team?

@4 If they did then they’ve shot themselves in the foot. Big time.

@4 – I remember hearing that too. But only for North America. Hopefully, there’s enough of an English localization team left in Europe for this.
