Team Meat has started work on the touchscreen version of Super Meat Boy, promising it’ll look and play “a lot different” than the standard Super Meat Boy that came out two years ago.

“In other news, I have officially started working on art assets for the SMB touch screen game Tommy [Refines, other Team Meat co-founder] and I are doing,” said Team Meat boss Ed McMillen in a tweet.

“it will look a lot different than SMB and also play a lot different. I’m super happy with the new visual theme,” he followed up in another tweet.

Team Meat had previously promised the effort would not be a straight port of the original game that launched in 2010.

Not sure quite how this is going to work on a phone, but I’m excited. My hands have recovered from playing SMB on 360 now. Nearly.

My fingers still hurt when I think about it. But I kinda like it!

Once you get that outrageously hard bandaid out of darkworld and you can watch yourself die 10,000 times on the replay, you feel so fucking leet :P
