Dead Island Bloodbath Arena DLC now expected “mid-November”

Monday, 10th October 2011 19:24 GMT By Andrew Groen

Techland recently opted to delay their upcoming downloadable content package for Dead Island, but never told us when it was delayed to.
The Bloodbath Arena DLC pack was reportedly delayed so that the company could continue to work on honing the main game experience on all platforms.

“We have news for all who are waiting for the Bloodbath Arena DLC: it will be moved to mid November,” wrote a representative for the company on the Dead Island Facebook page. “The additional time will be used to make sure that every Dead Island fan will receive the best experience possible on every platform.”

    Could be interesting.

    I found pre-order on Afterfall – another polish game. Only for 1 dollar (maybe). More info:

    Please correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this game still broken? I dropped by the Steam forum for it the other day and there was a thread stickied with official bugs and glitches numbering in the hundreds.

    Don’t bother to fix the game, guys. Just keep collecting money for it.

    To be fair, the stickied thread on the Steam forums allows people to freely participate in the bitch-and-moan fest; the list of bugs is the least of what you’ll see going on in there. The game was perfectly playable for me from day one, in fact I played the developer build for like 6 hours not knowing anything was wrong with it (seems I didn’t accidentally press T like others did). Eventually totaled up about 50 hours with one full playthrough and getting a few characters past the first chapter or so for the achievement.

    Dead Island is one of the funnest games I’ve ever played, DESPITE everything that’s gone wrong with it.

    @4, It’s not broken anymore. It’s fixed.

    It’s a mediocre game with fantastic visuals, fantastic melee system, fantastic level design.

    but all that level design is a waste of developers time because of the shitty story, shitty interface, shitty loot system, not much variety, shitty missions.

    Dead Island is a wasted potential. Basically 5 years went for the level design.

    @2: Co-op is nigh unplayable without voice chat. Just set it to LAN.
