GT5 gets new off-screen trailer

Someone with an early copy of God of War III has uploaded a new trailer of Gran Turismo 5 online for us to see. We salute you, sir!
It’s after the break.
It shows off some of the game’s tracks like the old Nurburgring, Suzuka and more, as well as revealing a lot more of the damage system for the Polyphony racer.
Do we want it? Yes. But apparently, 90 percent finished isn’t good enough for us, so we’ll have to wait until that last 10 percent is reached instead.
A new NASCAR trailer from the game got out on Friday as well. Might be worth a watch already if it you haven’t done so already.
It was due to release sometime this month in Japan, but it was delayed back in January. A new date for the region is yet to be decided.
For the west, meanwhile, originally thought to be down for a summer release by SCEA, a fall release was mentioned by an SCEE exec last month.
For now, we’re in limbo: no exact date has been given.
Thanks, GT Planet.

I think the trailer shows an old build of the game. The damage is the same as that from gamescom last year. No dents, just door etc. pop open and fallen off.

According to the comments at GTPlanet for the most part is just a load of old footage stuck together.

There’s some stuff in there that we haven’t seen before, which is nice. There’s a ton of old stuff though.

I can’t believe that nobody’s making a bigger deal about the trailer showing of night racing!
Looks pretty good!

Also, is this trailer western produced… it’s certainly a lot more appealing then previous videos.

“I can’t believe that nobody’s making a bigger deal about the trailer showing of night racing!”
Why would you? It’s been in the series all along.

But people went gaga over those night time racing scans… so I’d assume actual footage would at least turn some heads.

Oh btw, the video has been removed.
By the title of it I’d assume it’s the actual opening video to GT5.

‘It has been revealed that this new GT5 trailer will appear as part of three hours of extra video footage which is crammed onto the upcoming God of War III disc. The content will include a look at Sony’s upcoming games such as Modnation Racers, GT5 and more.’

Sony need to flood people with God of War III ads soon. If they sell God of War III they potential can sell a bunch of other titles.

I know i’m the only one contributing to this thread… but I was listening to Radio 1 on Saturday (shoot me, I was at work) and there was a segment about videogames.
Despite the sickening admiration for MW2 it was actually quite good, they discussed the Infinity Ward ordeal and ApocalyPS3 in great deal and then talked about ME2 and HR.
Anyway, my point, there was a section of viewer questions and one of the most common was ‘When is GT5 out?’.
For such a mainstream audience to be asking this it must be a good sign of sales… HURRY UP AND RELEASE YOUR CASH COW SONY!
