EA’s confirmed its bringing EA Sports Active off Wii and onto other hardware this Christmas.

Speaking in the company’s Q3 FY10 financial call, the firm’s COO John Schappert confirmed the news while answering an investor’s question.

“We’re taking EA Sports Active, which was wildly successful in the Wii, and bringing that to multiple platforms,” he said.

While it has mentioned the plans before, this is the first time the firm has confirmed its bringing the work-out series to other platforms then Wii.

We assume those “muliple platforms” are PS3 and 360. Two titles are planned in the series for EA’s Q3 FY2011.

EA Sports Active is practically the polar opposite of shovelware.

Also, the intro text suggests EA’s stopping making it for Wii – I presume that’s not the case?
