EA Sports Active Wii expansion delays 360 and PS3 Grand Slam Tennis

easportsactivelogo

Peter Moore confirmed an EA Sports Active expansion in EA’s Q1 investor call tonight.

The add-on will release this holiday.

Moore said “development resources” from the EA Sports tennis team were being used on the new fitness franchise, and as a result, the 360 and PS3 versions of Grand Slam Tennis have been delayed.

EA Sports Active has been a major hit for Moore, having now shifted almost 2 million units.

Delayed for Xbox 360 and PS3? Not casual enough for you?

“Funny. We had no idea it was coming for the other consoles.”

This… and I reckon it’s been delayed until the Sony dildos and Natal can casual it up for them.

Sorry. We got this wrong. The expansion’s taken time from the tennis team, so the 360 and PS3 tennis versions have slipped. He didn’t mention Active on 360 or PS3 at all.

Peter was rambling is all and we got confused. He should have taken a breath in there somewhere.

I misheard it, definitely. It’s Peter’s fault. Nothing to do with me.

I’d be massively surprised if there wasn’t a Natal Sports Active in the works right now. They appear to have been made for each other.

I could swear I read somewhere that he “would love to take it to the other platforms” or something like that.

Nothing specific, just a massive “Make me some waggle toys damn it!” to the twins. And since they are bending over backwards to catch up with Nintendos tour de force I think the official announcement is sooner rather than later.

I wonder if they will use the sweat engine from fight night.
