Alan Wake for GDC? Remedy isn’t saying

Remedy has told VG247 it’s not saying whether or not Alan Wake will appear at GDC next month, after weekend chatter pegged the horror for a San Franciscan reveal.
“We unfortunately aren’t communicating whether or not we’ll have GDC presence at this point of time,” a Remedy rep told VG247 this morning.
Activity surrounding the project does appear to be increasing, however, with Remedy showing some plot text from the game on its forums on Friday night.
Wake – a first-party 360 effort – has been tight under wraps since first announced in 2005.

I really hope they do show this. And that it’s good. I’m not sure I could take disappointment after all this time.
It’s not really ‘first-party’ though, is it?

That reads like they want to show it but the decision isn’t concrete. They certainly need to show more than just a demo of the tech or a trailer. It’s time to unveil mechanics, if it’s not in a state to show that, they shouldn’t bother.

Even a decent video would be nice. Give us some idea of how it’ll actually play.

Arr… This is taking so long. I remember watching an Alan Wake presentation where they played it using an Intel Core 2 Quad powered PC and thinking that I’ll never have a system that fast when the game ships. And look at my PC now… Well hopefully the game will be even greater now.

No need for hyperbole Billy.
Although there has always been a LOT surrounding this game, for the little we know about it.
Chnaces it becomes a glorified shooter are pretty high if you ask me.
