You’ve only got a few days left to take advantage of PlayStation’s amazing $30/£30/€30 off deal
If you've got PS Plus and want some PS5 gear or a new game, there's some money to be saved.
If you're a PS Plus subscriber and are looking to start off some Christmas shopping, you've only got a few days to jump on a fantastic deal with PS5 hardware, as well as two of the best PS5 games on the console.
Until October 27, PS Plus subscribers will be able to save $30/£30/€30 off when they buy any two PS5 products from the PlayStation Direct website. If you've not got an active PS Plus membership you can still save yourself $15/£15/€15, but for the cost of the cheapest sub you'd still be saving cash. Maybe that's intended as a clever bit of marketing...
The official PlayStation deal page recommends example various bundles if you don't know where to start. Some of them are actually great suggestions, such as:
- PlayStation 5 + DualSense Wireless Controller - Midnight Black
- DualSense Wireless Controller - Cosmic Red + DualSense Charging Station
- PlayStation 5 + God of War: Ragnarock
You are free to experiment and browse the full selection though. If you are looking to buy someone without a PS5 a great Christmas present the console + game combo is always a good shout. The PS5 has been out for some time now, meaning there's a good number of fantastic games to pick from including The Last of Us part 2, Death Stranding, and even the latest big release with Marvel's Spiderman 2!
If you're buying it for the family, maybe for a pair of kids or as an outlet for some bonding time, the console + controller combo is always a nice idea. It'll net you a pair of pads to play around with, which you won't get with the console alone! There's not much on offer in terms of local multiplayer in the deal, but you can also grab yourself a banger like Street Fighter 6 separately!
For my money? The best deal for someone who already owns a PlayStation 5 is probably the DualSense Edge and a Stick Module. The standard PS5 pad is decent, but the pumped-up version you get with the Edge is fantastic for all manner of competitive gaming. You don't need to be Xmas shopping for other people to find an excuse to blow some cash this fall.
Again, you'll have to jump on this quick, as it runs out October 27. We're pretty much past the peak of the PS5 supply issues we've seen in years past, but if previous years are anything to go by it'll be a hot product this time of year. Grab one while you can, and while it has a tasty discount slapped on it!
