Wii U version of Project Cars won't release in November alongside PC, new-gen

Those revving for the Wii U version of Project Cars will have to wait until next year to play the racer.

Speaking with Eurogamer, publisher Bandai Namco asked fans to be patient, as Slightly Mad Studios was "committed to delivering an exceptional and unique experience" for racing fans on Wii U.

"We kindly ask our devoted and passionate Nintendo fans for a little more time in order to ensure the game delivers on our vision of being the most authentic, beautiful, and technically-advanced racing game on any platform," said the publisher.

In development since 2011, Project Cars supports Oculus Rift as well as 4K resolution and is slated for a November 14 release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Development on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions was scrapped.
