Netflix’s The Witcher production halted due to positive COVID-19 tests

Filming on the second season of Netflix's The Witcher has halted after crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a Deadline report, filming of The Witcher Netflix series is on hold for the moment due to multiple crew members testing positive for COVID-19.

The report states four members of the crew have tested positive, none of which are the main cast.

Netflix will test all those involved with the show and those who tested positive are now in isolation. Once everyone is deemed safe, filming at Arborfield Studios in the UK will resume.

Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju, who portrays Nivellen in the second season of The Witcher, tested positive back in March which caused the show to pause filming. Things were further sidelined due to the spring lockdown in the UK. Filming eventually resumed in August.

Season 2 is expected to air sometime in 2021.
