Far Cry 5 supports co-op for the entire campaign - watch new co-op trailer

During today's packed Paris Games Week showcase, Sony managed to fit in a new trailer for Far Cry 5.

The gameplay video highlighted the fact that the game is being build with co-op in mind, showing some of the interesting situations you and a buddy can find yourselves into.

This includes, but not limited to, flying a plane while the other player tears it up on the ground, providing covering fire, and sitting somewhere higher up to provide overwatch as your buddy sneaks in.

The entire game is playable in co-op after completing the opening mission, which both parties must do first. Beyond the mayhem both players can cause, they can also rely on one another to provide ammo and health packs. Both players get to keep the XP, loot, and player progression made during the session.

This does not extend to world progression, which only the host keeps. This includes quests, outposts liberated, and other open-world activities.
