Destiny: should you buy Universal Remote?

Universal Remote, an Exotic Destiny shotgun that you can equip in your primary slot. Sounds interesting, but is it worth the Strange Coins?

Xur's Exotic weapon of the week is Universal Remote. This is a shotgun that you can use as a primary, and refill using primary ammo.

But is it worth giving up your Exotic slot for? Our Destiny expert Alex is not a fan.

"While it's a novel weapon, allowing you to equip a Shotgun in your primary weapon slot, it's really not something I'd seriously give up an Exotic slot for," he says.

"It could have limited appeal on some really close quarters Crucible maps, where running with 2 Shotguns could prove quite powerful, but in all honesty it's more one for the collection, than something you'd seriously consider taking into a fire-fight."

So there you have it. The only reason you should get this is if you really want a shotgun as a primary and don't mind sacrificing your Exotic slot. Or just to complete your collection.
