BioWare locking LGBT talk on its forums

It seems BioWare isn't too keen on LGBT talk on its forums, considering the developer is locking threads containing gay subject matter. Again.

The conversations in question ask why there is the possibility of a lesbian relationship available in Mass Effect 2, but not male-on-male sex, unlike Dragon Age: Origins.

Instead of discussing the issue in these threads - here's one, two, three - the developer's been getting busy with the lock and key (thanks, Ars).

The same mod has closed all the threads mentioned there, citing "hostility" and "fighting" as reasons.

This isn't the first time BioWare mods have blocked homosexual-related language on its forums. Back in April last year, the developer stopped The Old Republic chatterers from using the terms “gay,” “lesbian” and “homosexual” on the game's boards, with a mod claiming the terms “do not exist in Star Wars”.

The thread in question was swiftly unlocked.

[Not great, BioWare. Sort it out. - Ed]
