You can now tame a Giganotosaurus in ARK: Survival Evolved - just don't make it angry
Another creature has been added to ARK: Survival Evolved and it's rather large. Gigantic if you will.
As the headline states, the new dinosaur is the Giganotosaurus. Despite being rather slow as far as speed goes, if you get trapped or chased down by it, you're pretty much a goner. Therefore, in order to hunt or tame the beast, you will need to have the proper skills and best gear available.
Even tamed, Giganotosaurus is a dangerous beast to have around, as its rage reaction can cause it to turn on a member of the tribe, or throw you off its back if angry enough. Despite the risk, it's rather handy to have around.
Along with the formidable critter is the addition of swords and a set of "primitive and modern shields" for those who enjoy a good melee battle.
