Outriders devs outline how to request a refund on Xbox now that it's coming to Game Pass

Outriders is coming to Xbox Game Pass which means some of you may wish to cancel your pre-order for Xbox.

Over on the Outriders reddit, People Can Fly outlined how you can request a refund on the game if you pre-ordered it for an Xbox system.

If you are in that crowd, in order to request a refund directly from Xbox, you will need to sign in here. Then you will need to look for the pre-order in your order history. Once found, you can then hit Cancel listed under the release date.

If you've paid with a credit card, then it’ll cancel with no charge. If you paid using Microsoft account credit, then your credit will be returned to you, with no charge on the card.

Should you not see your pre-order listed, or you are canceling 10 days from launch, you’ll need to get in touch with the Xbox team.

Amazon, Gamestop, GAME, etc. pre-orders will need to be canceled through the retailer.

It goes without saying that if you cancel your pre-order you will not receive the Hell's Rangers content pack. The pack is being handed to early adopters and players who pre-order. This means if you access the game exclusively with Game Pass (without purchasing or pre-ordering it), you will not receive the Hell's Rangers content pack. You will, however, be able to purchase it separately for up to 10% off with your member discount if you want to pick up the content pack.

Finally, the devs reminded people that progress will transfer between Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and vice versa should you switch between the platforms. If you own multiple platforms and plan to play Outriders with Game Pass, the studio recommends that you play the demo on Xbox in order to have your progress waiting for you when the game launches with Game Pass.

Outriders releases on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on April 1.
