Warframe coming to PS5 this year and later on Xbox Series X

Digital Extremes will release Warframe on PlayStation 5 this year and later on Xbox Series X.

The 60 million players of Warframe will soon have the opportunity to experience the game on next-gen consoles.

On next-gen systems, the game will run at up to 4K resolution and 60fps. You can also expect drastically improved loading times and a seamless experience when going into player-filled towns and the open worlds.

The all-new enhanced renderer will also produce dynamic lighting. The light from the sun now casts long shadows through the trees, foliage creates dynamic shadows, and the reflections of the Cetus market can be seen across your Warframe as you stroll through.

You can also expect a game-wide texture remaster which has added new levels of detail and enhanced color throughout the experience and it also reduces the space taken up on your hard drive.

On next-gen, it will also feature cross-generation play, and profiles and progress will be saved when playing on PS4 or PS5.

Details on Xbox One Series X cross-generation play will be shared in the future.

The next generation of Warframe also takes advantage of many of the new and unique features of PS5.

Progress Activities will show you exactly how close you are to earning a Trophy, while Challenge Activities will get you right into the action with no need to load the game. The first will be a Sanctuary Onslaught Challenge, with more to come.

Upon release, using the PS5’s Adaptive Triggers, players will experience the impact of every shot fired with each trigger pull.

In the future, as Digital Extremes explores Sony’s Haptic technology, it aims to further immerse you with "unique vibration patterns that match in-game environments."

PS5 and PS4 owners can also download the PlayStation Plus Booster Pack which contains a new Sedai Obsidian Syandana which was designed with the DualSense Controller in mind. It also features an Experience Booster, in-game Currency Booster, Credits, and Premium Credits.
