Dataminers have found files suggesting the release of a free and paid Battle Pass, as well as a new Recruit mode.
Apex Legends dataminer PlayApexLIntel has been rooting through the game’s files for more tidbits on unreleased modes and more coming to Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale shooter.
The latest result of such foraging is the discovery of a free and “diamond” tier Season 1 Battle Pass, indicating that there will be two variants – the latter being a premium paid version.
Respawn shared its Year 1 roadmap for the game earlier this month, which briefly detailed the first four seasons, and the content we can expect to see roll out.
The first season kicks off in March along with the launch of the first Battle Pass, but so far there’s been no word on pricing.
Another bout of datamining revealed the possible existence of a new Recruit game mode. From the files, it seems that up to three teams of 20 people will be set loose on the map, and reviving players recruits them to that player’s team. The last team standing wins. GamingIntel also backs this up, citing a source close to the outlet.
The latest leak joins our report from earlier today, that covers a possible survival mode and new Legends headed for the game.
