PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting 2 new weapons

It's been a little while since PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds received new weapons, and we're getting two of them in one go.

The new weapons are the DP-28 LMG, and the AUG A3 assault rifle. Both are currently available on the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds test servers, which have gone live earlier this morning with further updates to version 1.0.

The first one, the DP-28, is a low-rate-of-fire LMG that fires 7.62mm. It can be found as a loot drop all over the island, and holds 47 rounds by default. The DP-28 can make use of RDS sights and the 4x scope.

The DP-28 stands at the opposite end from the crate-only M249 LMG, which fires 5.56mm rounds and has a high rate-of-fire. The DP-28 has better damage, and a longer effective range to compensate for its low rate-of-fire.

The next weapon is the AUG A3, a crate-only assault rifle that fires 5.56mm. It comes with a 30-round magazine by default, upgradeable to a 40-round when using an extended mag. The developer noted that the AUG A3 has a high muzzle velocity, high rate-of-fire, and low vertical recoil.

It's not clear if these weapons will make it out alongside version 1.0 in December, or if they're going to be released separately.
