Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series releases today. Is it any good?
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Episode 1 – Tangled Up in Blue releases on Android, iOS, PC, PS4 and Xbox One today, now that the US has grumpily ticked over into Tuesday.
The review embargo dropped on release, so if you’re thinking of picking up Telltale’s latest, either because you love its work or just adore the Guardians of the Galaxy, guidance is available.
Telltale reviews are generally a bit divisive so it’s no surprise to see a fair bit of variance in Guardians of the Galaxy scores. The Whedon-esque tone the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be pushing would seem to marry well with Telltale’s usual bantering style, but if you find that twee you’re going to find it twee here, too. I noticed with some amusement a bit of criticism of the predictable plot, alongside complaints about something shocking happening in the first episode. Ahh, video games.
