Cheap move, Akuma.
Check out 11 minutes of Tekken 7’s PC gameplay
It’s a pretty good time to be a fighting game fan, with both Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 heavily featured on the E3 floor. We’ve already had a chance to look at the latter’s gameplay, but now the folks at Gamespot have unveiled a full 11 minutes of Tekken 7 footage, and on the PC no less.
The video opens with three rounds of Tekken 7’s Arcade Mode, where Kazuya fights through various CPU opponents until Street Fighter’s Akuma puts up a real challenge. Next up is Story Mode, where Akuma duels with Mishima while the surrounding dojo literally erupts around them from the force of their blows. Then it’s back to Arcade Mode where we get a chance to see Alisa’s fighting style.
Outside of the visuals and character designs, the footage offers a taste of the special moves players can expect to see – and more importantly, which combos will break them. Unless you’re in the Story Mode of course, where Akuma will make a last-second recovery even if you beat him as Mishima. Figures.
Tekken 7 will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in early 2017.
